I was making dinner last night and I went to crack the eggs into the bowl. I cracked the egg and it bounced. I looked at it and it was solid. I thought that was strange. I then tried to crack another egg and the same thing happened. I thought I was going crazy as I only bought the eggs at the shops less than an hour before. I went back to the shop in in what little Korean I had explained to the lady that there was something wrong with the eggs. She in what little English she had informed me that they were preserved. On speaking with a Korean friend today, apparently they make delicious snacks. I'll let you guys decide. Have a look at the photo.

them eggs i believe are either baked or boiled in soy sauce. baked eggs are just eggs, taste the same as a boiled egg cept they were baked. well, maybe a lil more toasty tasting.
the one boiled in soy sauce are just that, boiled in soy sauce. as they are boiled, the soy sauce permeates the shell and stains the egg. dunno if it actually helps preserve it but it sure does flavor it.
