Claudia in Grade 2

Here are a selection of photos from Claudia at school. I pulled these from the class website. None of these shots are going to win prizes for photography but I think give a nice picture of the cool things she gets up to in school. Sometimes I look at the education our kids get and I just shake my head at how lucky they are.

International Day

We celebrated International Day yesterday at WAB. International Day is such a fun day in our school calendar and it always amazes me to see how many different nationalities are in our school and I love to see all the children dressed in their national dress. Being Aussie makes the whole national dress thing hard but the Ciempka's dragged their Aussie gear out and donned the red, white and blue. I think the Ciempka ladies looked fantastic, Paul on the hand was a disgrace........ the photos say it all. Let's just say there were a lot of offer for counselling for the girls from many members of the WAB community.

Emily and the Miao People

Emily is studying Symbolism at school and the Miao People (pronounced the same as the noise a cat makes) have a lot of symbolism in the dress and culture. Here are some shots from their visit.

Someone gave her a big pencil for her birthday.... only Emily would use it at school!

Claudia's New Haircut

She had been hassling me for a fringe - I gave in. If she says one more time, "I look like a completely new person." I will go crazy. I like it, Paul isn't so keen.

Lets hope it encourages her to brush her hair a bit more often?
