Looking at North Korea through the barbed wire.
Mum, Emily and Dad with North Korea in the background
Claudia's thoughts on posing for a photo.

Spring in the DMZ
The fenced off train line. The little houses are for soliders with big guns.
Sight seeing Korean style.

If you squint, you can see all the way to the ocean - well if the smog wasn't there!
We rode the cable cars to the top of the mountain - at $15 each person it was not a cheap trip but amazing. The view was spectacular. Let me just point out again - it was really, really cold and so windy. I kept worrying that the kids would get blown off the mountain.
There was this little temple at the foot of the mountains that we wandered through. Dad the ever so respectful observer of other religions opened the door to the temple and ust walked in shoes and all - he couldn't understand why the ladies got upset!
All around the temple were these piles of rocks - apparently they are prayer mounds.
The first sign of spring.
See they do love each other.
No day is complete without a tasty Korean snack of chocolate hotdogs - yes that is right. It is a dagwood dog or a corn dog dipped in chocolate sauce and sprinkles - mmmmmmm - I can just taste it now.
